The Helpmann Awards
Live Performance Australia presents Helpmann Awards, Awards for Live Entertainment 2010, Celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Hosted by David Campbell, this industry night of nights recognises excellence and achievement in Australian live performance, including theatre, opera, ballet, dance, musical theatre, comedy, cabaret, children’s theatre, regional touring and contemporary music.
This year's event featured performances from the casts of Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wizard Of Oz, Avenue Q, West Side Story, Man In Black, Bangarra Dance Theatre and The Australian String Quartet.
The awards were broadcast live from 8pm on Monday 6th September on the Foxtel arts channel STVDIO, and PowerArts have featured quite heavily in the nominations.
