How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying

With Australia's Two Left Feet Productions and several Broadway producers, PowerArts collaborated to present Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette in their Broadway debuts in the 50th anniversary revival of the hilarious fable of executive dreams and office romance that is How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Abe Burrows,  Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, and based on Sherpherd Meade’s 1952 book of the same name, the musical originally opened on Broadway in 1961, and won seven Tony Awards, the New York Drama Critics Circle award and the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In 1967, a film based on the musical featured many of the original cast, and in 1995 a revival starring Matthew Broderick and Megan Mullally preceded this revival, which was directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford, and opened on Broadway, March 27th, 2011.

This production received several Drama Desk, Theatre World and Choice Awards, and was nominated for eight Tony Awards for 2011, including Best Revival of a Musical, and John Laroquette won a Tony as best male supporting actor in a musical.

After a successful run on Broadway which saw Darren Chris/Nick Jonas and Beau Bridges replacing Radcliffe and Laroquette respectively, this show closed after 473 performances.

Jonas can now be heard in the cast recording, now available in stores in the US.
